Eaton RESA
Career Preparation Center hosted a class activity with students, instructors
and staff. On Tuesday, September 16, students from the Criminal Justice and
Law Enforcement class participated in the ALS
Ice Bucket Challenge at LCC West Campus. Students joined the Lansing
Community College Police and Fire Academy students to support ALS.
What is the' Ice Bucket Challenge'?
The Ice Bucket
Challenge is to promote the awareness of the disease called ALS (Amyotrophic
Lateral Sclerosis). ALS is also known as Lou
Gehrig's Disease.
During the Ice Bucket
Challenge, someone has a bucket of ice water dumped on their head. One of our Criminal Justice students
participated in the event to honor her uncle who was a Firefighter for 13 years
but passed away earlier this year from ALS. It was a special event and we were
honored to show our support.
